Building Made Easy!

  1. A preliminary/information gathering meeting is scheduled for a new customer.

    In attendance will be a salesperson and builder/developer.  During this information gathering meeting all things construction will be discussed.  At this time, it is recommended that the customer have a house plan and a lot/home site in mind.  This is the time when the builder/developer can envision what the new home owner wants in their dream home and what budget they are working from.  The customer’s interior and exterior finishes as well as plumbing, lighting, paint and even down to the kitchen sink will be discussed.  Don’t worry – all of the choices don’t have to be made on this day – but the AB Contracting team will help you stay on budget and on time!

  2. The AB Team of professionals will provide an estimate/scope of work within a day or two

  3. The customer will have time to review the contract and questions will be answered

  4. Once a pre-approval letter from a qualified bank; a 10% deposit is made; and the customer signs the contract; work begins immediately

  5. At this point, selections for your dream home will begin.
    Allowances for choices are determined from information provided at the first meeting and incorporated into the contract.  From the allowances, the first selections will be made:  Brick, stone and or siding exterior; Interior Doors and Garage Doors and Plumbing. If the customer decides to upgrade from their contract allowances, the customer pays for their overages at this time or when they receive a change order processed by an AB Contracting team member.

  6. Once the house is under roof, a walk thru is scheduled with the customer.  Customer then will decide kitchen layout, and make the remainder of their selections: cabinets, lighting, carpet/tile, appliances, fireplace mantel, and granite counter tops.

  7. Upon completion of the home, a final walk thru inspection is scheduled.

  8. Customer closes on their home at the end of the building process as if it were an existing home.  A construction loan is not necessary with a dream home built by AB Contracting.  The building process is made easy by AB Contracting handling the construction loan process and providing a team of professionals to walk you through building your dream home.  The team of professionals will keep you on budget and your house on time to completion.

  9. All new construction homes with AB Contracting will receive a Builder’s One Year Structural Warranty.
